The United States is the destination for nine of the world’s 14 ultra-long-haul flights over 8,500 miles. However, none of these are currently operated by US-based airlines. In April, the US is set to have a total of 26 outbound routes 8,000 miles or over on average. Of these, only three routes are set to be operated by two US-based carriers.
