EASA Targets Oldest Airbus A380s For Wing Crack Inspections

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has proposed a new directive for Airbus A380 operators to inspect the feet of the metallic alloy main wing ribs of both wings according to instructions published by the manufacturer. This was not the first time the regulator was forced to issue instructions for storage-related issues for the aircraft, with several other directives preceding its latest publication.
