The Boeing 757 is one of Boeing’s most iconic aircraft. For years, the pencil-shaped narrowbody aircraft filled the requirement for a midsized airplane. However, Boeing ended the 757’s production in 2005 after 1,050 examples had been delivered. Airlines stopped showing interest in the early 2000s, especially after the slump in air travel in the wake of 9/11. Here is what to know about Delta’s formerly Northwest fleet of Boeing 757-300s.
