The Air Lines Pilots Association council representing Federal Express pilots has requested the National Mediation Board for a release from mediated contract talks to potentially strike. However, the National Mediation Board still must grant release in this case and in the two others likely to be before them. Federal Express leaders do not concur that a release from mediation is necessary.
