Three CH-47F medium-lift helicopters from 5th Aviation Regiment had arrived in Oakey, near Toowoomba in South-East Queensland, as of Tuesday morning, having flown from Townsville on Saturday via Rockhampton.
The airport has opened a new “nothing to declare” express lane with detector dog screening, as well as new and expanded “back-of-stage” areas. Travellers with items to declare must still go through existing customs lanes.
