The location of Europe on the world map means that, for long-range aircraft such as the Boeing 787 ‘Dreamliner’ family, there are few corners of the globe that can’t be reached on a non-stop basis. The continent’s longest routes with the type, all of which use the mid-sized 787-9 variant, serve both the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region, with data from Cirium, an aviation analytics company, showing that, this March, the top 10 are all longer than 6,500 miles (10,460 km).
