The McDonnell Douglas/Boeing F-15 family of air-superiority/multirole fighter jets has been in production for half a century. It appears that the Eagle’s production will continue for another decade before finally coming to an end in the mid-2030s. Boeing has delivered 66 F-15 models over the last six years at an average rate of 11 per year, far below the peak of around 130 aircraft in 1979.
