I’m a culturally sensitive individual but I don’t want to be browbeaten by constant “Welcome to Country” retoric which I believe as now lost it meaning and has lost what it was designed to achieve.
However, I drawn the line at the totally acceptable act by a gay Aboriginal, wearing warpaint and thigh-high “fuck me” boots to act out spearing Jesus Christ at Mardi Gras!
This is totally unacceptable and very offensive to myself and the majority of Australians who value religion.
Defund this parade and the disgusting acts it brings.
As a confirmed Catholic I find this offensive. Non indigenous Australians can not enter land or climb landmarks in this country because of ‘cultural significance’. Catholicism and the symbolisms of the crucifixion is the foundation of western values and civilisation. It’s high time this kind of trolling was called out for exactly what it is. Respect and tolerance is a two way street.
Of course our Prime Minister was there front and centre where a parade like this is acceptable for government support but ensuing Australia Day is celebrated is not.
Shame on you Anthony Albanese.
