The Airbus A330-900 is one of the new A330neo family variants of the popular Airbus A330 widebody aircraft and has outsold its smaller A330-800 counterpart. It is designed to operate on short to long-haul routes of up to 7,200 nautical miles. The A330neo comes with the new Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines while also offering the latest-generation flight ops systems and aerodynamic designs. Airbus claims the A330-900 reduces fuel consumption by 25% compared to previous-generation aircraft (like the Boeing 777-200ER). Here are the largest fleets of A330-900s in February 2025 according to ch-aviation.
