‘Shameful’: Judge fines Qantas $250k over COVID stand down

The judge made the damning criticism of the airline after Theo Seremetidis directed cleaning staff to steer clear of aircraft that had recently returned from Covid-19 hotspots in 2020.

Foran, who joined Air New Zealand in 2019, replaced former CEO Christopher Luxon, now the Prime Minister of New Zealand. He previously served as CEO of Walmart’s US operations and held senior positions at Woolworths in Australia.
