Glasgow (GLA) is the second busiest airport in Scotland behind Edinburgh (EDI), and it also consistently ranks in the top 10 for the United Kingdom as a whole. According to the CAA, its annual traffic peaked in 2017, when it handled 9.9 million passengers, although, since the coronavirus pandemic, it has bounced back strongly, with 7.4 million passing through its doors in 2023.
