American Airlines Flight 5342 Crash: Everything We Know So Far

Last night’s tragedy involving American Airlines Flight 5342 and a US Army Sikorsky Black Hawk helicopter has taken a turn for the worst after authorities said emergency responders are now shifting from rescue to recovery mode. The collision put an end to US commercial aviation’s 16-year streak of no fatal crashes, the last being the 2009 crash of Colgan Air Flight 3407 in New York.
