Rockwell International was one of the largest manufacturing conglomerates within the United States until it went defunct in the early 2000s. The company was founded in 1919, over 106 years ago, by Willard Rockwell. It was originally formed to develop automotive components. The company saw success with the introduction of Rockwell’s new bearing system for truck axles.
