Modal shift at the forefront
By tackling port and rail connectivity, RailFreight Summit Poland 2025 addresses a hot rail industry topic: the modal shift from road to rail. With ports being a critical gateway of rail freight traffic in the European hinterland, the time has come to assess modal shift objectives, the reasons behind success, and possible improvements to achieve a common goal: putting more cargo on rail.
The conference programme will highlight modal shift efforts from several ports, the perspective of shippers, rail freight corridor coordination, policy issues, and cutting-edge technologies. Additionally, it will touch upon another trending topic: the situation of Europe’s state-owned railway companies and their role in modal shift efforts, among other things.
