Spirit is to restart flights between Boston and Newark. It has been motivated by the exit of JetBlue, which pulled out last year, having served the route for 12 years. The development, one of multiple new and returning routes for the Spirit, comes shortly after it announced it would pull out of Manchester, its 10th airport exit since the start of 2023. Note that only the Boston-NYC area market is considered here, comprising JFK, LaGuardia and, yes, Newark.
