Flying for a regional airline is typically the first job commercial pilots get. These jobs are relatively easy to come by for most pilots, thanks to the tremendous growth in commercial flights and a constant need for new pilots. After receiving their commercial pilot's license and all appropriate type and instrument ratings, new pilots aim to join one of the regional airlines.
