The E-Jet series comprises four aircraft types, including E170, E175, E190, and E195. The aircraft series was designed to complement the late-1980s ERJ series (ERJ 135, ERJ 140, ERJ 145). The E-Jet program was launched in early 1997 and formally introduced during the 1999 Paris Air Show.
