The Embraer E-Jet family is a series of narrowbody regional jets designed and developed by Brazilian manufacturer Embraer in the late 1990s. The E-Jet series comprises four aircraft types, including E170, E175, E190, and E195. The aircraft series was designed to complement the late-1980s ERJ series (ERJ 135, ERJ 140, ERJ 145). The E-Jet program was launched in early 1997 and formally introduced during the 1999 Paris Air Show.
