5G: we’re next, says India’s Vodafone Idea

Malaysian telco U Mobile announced on Monday it has signed on EdgePoint Infrastructure as a preferred 5G in-building (IBC) infrastructure partner for the rollout of its wholesale 5G network.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) announced it is in discussion to loan Airtel Africa US$200 million, to fill the operator’s coffers to fund network expansion in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Rwanda and Kenya. 

Indonesian telco Telkomsel and Ericsson subsidiary Vonage revealed on Tuesday they have agreed to collaborate on communications and network APIs for developers, enterprises, and communications service providers (CSPs).
