N95NA, or NASA5, touched down in Brisbane on Monday before flying out to Perth on Tuesday ahead of the launch on 11 January. The aircraft will watch the re-entry of the SpaceX Starship, which is expected to splash down off the coast of WA.
Starting on 3 March, the new A220s will begin to replace the smaller Embraer E190s on Adelaide-Brisbane services, bringing in-flight wi-fi, updated cabins, and around 100,000 additional seats per year to the route.
