The Story Of Paine Field

Snohomish County Airport – Paine Field was built in 1936 as a Works Progress Project. The Works Progress Administration was created in 1935 while Franklin D. Roosevelt was president. It was for the unemployed and was meant to provide useful work for millions affected by the Great Depression.
