Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), a joint civil-military facility located around four miles from the city center of Utah’s capital, is by far the largest and most important such facility in the state and serves as a major gateway to the many ski resorts and natural attractions within the region. The airport works alongside the smaller Provo Airport (PVU) and Ogden-Hinckley Airport (OGD) to serve the roughly three million people who live in Utah’s largest urban area.
