Increasingly, migrants using charter aircraft to reach the United States have become a concerning phenomenon. With migrants fleeing global conflicts and adverse economic conditions, some human smuggling networks have found charter flights as the ideal pathway to achieving their objectives. Throughout the past five years, thousands of migrants from across the globe (but mostly from Caribbean island nations like Haiti and Cuba) have made their way across the United States border.
