The small Gulf State of Bahrain has signed a contract to order nine Airbus H145 helicopters (formerly called the Eurocopter EC145). The H145 is a twin-engine light utility helicopter built by Airbus based on the MBB/Kawaski BK 117 C1. In November 2024, Simple Flying reported Airbus had delivered the first of up to 82 H145M helicopters hastily ordered by the German Army.
