NASA Pushes Back Artemis II & Artemis III Lunar Missions To 2026 & 2027 Over Heat Shield Safety Concerns

NASA has confirmed it will push back its Artemis II and III missions following its investigation into the Orion crew capsule’s heat shield. The Artemis II test flight was initially penciled in for November 2024, but the latest delay has it scheduled for April 2026; meanwhile, the Artemis III lunar landing mission is now slated for mid-2027.
