China’s new COMAC C919 narrowbody airliner was launched in 2017 and come into service in 2023. China has big plans for the COMAC C919 (a Boeing 737 MAX and Airbus A320neo competitor). However, the aircraft is built with extensive US components, and in his last days in office, President Trump placed the company, COMAC, on the DoD sanctions list. Could a second Trump administration bring the C919 program to a screeching halt?
