1st Belgian F-35A Lightning II Lands At Luke Air Force Base

The first Belgian F-35A Lightning II arrived at Luke Air Force Base on 3 December 2024, marking an important milestone in the country’s transition to the fifth generation fighter from the legacy F-16 Fighting Falcon. The F-35 Lightning II is easily the most popular and successful fifth-generation fighter jet, with almost all countries that could realistically order it having done so ( at least half a dozen requests to purchase the jet have been denied by the US).
