Redmond Police Of Washington State Pioneering Drones As First Responder

Redmond, Washington’s Redmond police Department (Redmond PD) is pioneering the use of drones as first responders. This is different than a previous small drone project Simple Flying covered about having backpack drones for mapping and military purposes. Using drones as first responders builds on the Redmond PD’s previous work with drones starting in 2018 to help document traffic accidents and find missing persons, allowing Redmond PD to have additional eyes.
