The United States Air Force (USAF) has decided to restore two Rockwell B-1 Lancer variable-sweep wing heavy bombers to service, which had been in storage at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. Congress requires the USAF to have an active fleet of at least 45 B-1s in service.
