FAA Grants Airbus A321XLR PW1100G Engine Limited Exemption To Bird Ingestion Rule

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted an exemption for the Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engine variants that will power the Airbus A321XLR, allowing the engine maker and Airbus to progress forward with the certification of the PW1100G-powered A321XLR.
