Revealed: Lufthansa’s Plans For ITA Airways In The Americas, Eastern Europe & Africa

Sources have revealed Lufthansa’s preliminary plans for ITA Airways to Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera. This follows the final approval the European Commission granted on Friday evening, after the two companies submitted their sacrifices to satisfy competition concerns. The plans for ITA Airways include reinforcing the network to key markets, expanding and improving the hub-and-spoke model, and finally, trimming loss-making services to regions that are not as important.
