Jeff Kennett has made the following comments regarding the suburban rail loop but research will show you he did not have the same few 11 years ago when Denis Napthine from the Liberal Party was in charge.
It is good to borrow money for important transport projects when there is a liberal government but not when there is a Labor Government in office. Jeff Kennet refused to build the Melbourne Airport Rail Line in the 1990’s even when the Federal Government was prepared to stump up the cash.
