All industries have code words, jargon, and phrases that only people working in them would understand. The United States Air Force (USAF) is no exception. It has a plethora of military jargon that only another serving member or retired former enlisted man, woman, or officer would understand. Because the USAF works rapidly, it has developed a kind of shorthand that makes communicating with one another simple, quick, and efficient.
