NASA’s X-59 Quieter Sonic Boom Supersonic Test Plane Fires Up Its Engine For The 1st Time

NASA’s quiet supersonic X-59 aircraft has fired up its engines for the first time during a series of engine tests launched last week. Tests were also run for the first time without an external power source to verify that the X-59’s systems can function on its own engine power.
