While there is still much that is unknown about the October 26 Israeli attack on Iran, the first details are beginning to emerge. These Israeli airstrikes were carried out in retaliation for a massive 180-strong ballistic missile barrage on Israel. In that October 1 attack, a couple of dozen missiles were filmed penetrating Israel’s air defense and striking Nevatim Air Base (and two other locations). While wild claims circulated online that 20 Israeli F-35s had been destroyed, later satellite images showed no evidence of destroyed Israeli fighter jets. However, some things appear clear.
