Amid one of the most momentous weekends in Austin, Texas, in recent memory, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) destroyed daily passenger records, marking an unbelievable 44,043 passengers traveling through TSA checkpoints throughout Monday, October 21st. This record actually shattered a recently-set new benchmark for passenger numbers, which was set just one day earlier, on October 20th, when 39,380 passengers passed through checkpoints at the facility.
