Gunmen stormed the Turkish state-run aviation company TUSA, killing five and wounding 22. The incident has been described as a terrorist attack “highly likely” carried out by the separatist PKK Kurdish militia. TUSA (Turkish Aerospace Industrustries or TAI) is one of the main Turkish companies working on major projects like producing the F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet domestically (under license) and developing Turkey’s ambitious KAAN 5th generation fighter jet.
