Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways became the first airline in the Middle East to take delivery of the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in 2014. Since then, the carrier has received more than 30 examples of aircraft types and still has more in order. Over the last decade, the airline has also shown a strong interest in the larger 787-10 variant. Although it has collected fewer examples of the variant, Etihad utilizes the plane to support its global network.
