On Sunday, October 20th, members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) District 70, Local Lodge 774, voted to ratify a new labor contract with Textron Aviation. This will bring the union members back to work at Textron Aviation, as they had been striking for the last four weeks as they were awaiting a new contract proposal from the Wichita, Kansas-based aircraft manufacturer. The new contract comes just weeks after Textron Aviation announced it was set to restart negotiations with the District 70, Local Lodge 774 on Thursday, October 10th.
