The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has released its final report on an engine fire that occurred onboard an Atlas Air Boeing 747-8F moments after taking off. The engine fire left a “softball size hole” above the jet’s No.2 engine, with the probable cause stated to be improper maintenance procedures.
