US Navy Delays EP-3E Aries II Spy Plane Retirement

The US Navy is reported to have decided to hold onto its EP-3E Aries II spy planes for a little longer while putting their retirement on hold. These are being progressively replaced by the new advanced Northrop Grumman MQ-4C Triton maritime patrol drones. Meanwhile, the Air Force is in the process of retiring its EC-130H Compass Call aircraft , replacing them with the EA-37B based on the Gulfstream business jet.
