Alan Jackson is a world-renowned country star. The country music icon was born in Newnan, Georgia, on October 17, 1958. Jackson was exposed to different types of music early on, including gospel music and country music. He found himself playing for a band called Dixie Steel after graduating from high school, while also working as a construction worker.
