The holiday season, especially around Thanksgiving and Christmas, can include some of the busiest travel days of the year. As travelers flood the airports to visit families and friends during breaks from school or work, airports can get overcrowded, and flights are typically filled to the brim. According to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the Sunday after Thanksgiving are typically three of the busiest travel days of the year. The Sunday after last Thanksgiving, Sunday, November 26, was one of the busiest travel days ever recorded, with over 2.9 million travelers passing through TSA checkpoints.
