Regarding the world's capitals, New Zealand's Wellington continues to call itself the 'Coolest little capital in the world.' With a population of around half a million, the city is a hive of activity across its famous waterfront, gardens, and beaches. However, those who have flown into Wellington International Airport (WLG) may also be familiar with the severe winds that can hit the city as they throttle across the surrounding mountain ranges or the wild Cook Strait, meaning when the weather turns, there can undoubtedly be a few white knuckle landings, or reaching for the infamous white sick bag.
