Oi taps Nokia for Wi-Fi upgrade in Brazil

Globe Telecom hailed milestones in building 276 new cell sites and upgraded 2,509 sites to 4G LTE in the Philippines island of Mindanao in 2023, as part of its strategy to connect new subscribers for growth ambitions. 

Globe Telecom announced it gained PHP13.5 billion (US$230 million) from the transfer of more towers as it seeks more cash to pay down debts and fund future capex intensive projects.

Vietnam-based operator MobiFone has officially launched its 5G mobile services, making it the third provider to commercialise 5G in the Southeast Asian country.
