Protestors in Melbourne hurl horse poo at Police

Police and horses have been pelted with tomatoes and manure as anti-weapons protesters swarm the city, shutting down roads and causing commuter chaos on key Melbourne thoroughfares.

Disgusting scenes have erupted as protesters clashed with mounted police during an anti-war rally on Wednesday morning.

Protesters have been seen hurling objects, including tomatoes, at police horses. In vile scenes, several masked protesters picked up horse poo and threw it at police and their horses.

Thousands of protesters have gathered in the city to rally against the Land Forces expo, held at the Melbourne Convention Centre.
