The Airbus A350 program has inevitably been loss-making since its inception with hefty development and production costs hindering its profitability. Typically, it takes approximately ten years before a new aircraft becomes profitable, especially considering the discounts on list prices a manufacturer might give to airlines in order to get its product selling. Instead, just five years after its launch in 2019, the Airbus A350 broke even.
