City Road has become a real headache for Southbank residents, with constant noise and safety risks from heavy trucks.
If I’m elected, I’m committed to making it safer and quieter by rerouting these vehicles through the Domain and Burnley tunnels.
This isn’t just about reducing noise—it’s about protecting everyone on the road, including truck drivers and even the animals being transported.
The heartbreaking accident in July really drove home how much we need this change. Let’s make City Road safer place for all of us.

Will be the best thing he can do. The roads around Southbank are terrible and polluted. Get rid of the trucks for a start.
And improve our Regional Rail Service….the N set are being cut of maintenance to justify it withdrawal from Service and replace them more those not fit purpose VoLcity on the longer distance routes….
Swan Hill is on their hit list I am told by railway worker at Gemco that N set will be all gone by next year!!!
