US Air Force Keen To Expand Airmen Exchange Program With Australia

Australia is widely regarded as one of the US’s closest allies, and now the US Air Force wants to expand its international exchange program for enlisted airmen down under. Facing a rapidly modernizing and assertive China, the US Air Force wants stronger defense bases across the Pacific and deeper cooperation with its allies in the region. The US has also recently announced it will be deploying more F-35As to Japan and will be replacing the F/A-18 Super Hornets with F-35Cs on the aircraft carrier in the region.
