Nokia announced on Monday that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with university Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) to conduct joint R&D for 5G and 6G use cases in India’s transportation and logistics sector.
Indian telco Reliance Jio reportedly acknowledged it has been using unlicenced spectrum as well as 5G spectrum to connect some customers for its 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) services, which it says is helping lower deployment costs.
Ericsson said on Monday it has successfully completed MTN Nigeria’s first field trial of a triple-band FDD massive MIMO radio that integrates the telco’s entire 4G mid-band spectrum into a single, compact radio unit.
