When Jumbos Become Hostels: How This 747 Became One Of Sweden’s Coolest Hotels

What happens when airplanes are decommissioned? Most are scrapped and recycled, but a few go on to find new and novel lives such as The Airplane Restaurant in Colorado Springs and the Twin Jets Resort hotel in Malaysia. One of the most remarkable is Sweden's Jumbostay – a full Boeing 747 converted as a hostel at the Arlanda Airport in Stockholm. It is arguably one of the world's coolest aircraft hotels.
